Romania's main exports include clothing and textiles, industrial machinery, electrical and electronic equipment, automobiles, metallurgical products, and pharmaceuticals. Delphi Presence

Delphi Romania has been a vital part of the country's economy since 1995. Delphi electrical/electronic architecture plants in Romania are located in Sannicolau Mare and Ineu. Delphi is the major employer in this area with almost 10,000 employees. In the past decade, Delphi Romania has expanded several times to meet an increasing demand for transportation components and systems. Combining a strong local presence with Delphi's global resources, Delphi Romania offers our customers innovation, quality, and excellence.

ISO/TS is the quality standard developed and agreed upon by automakers around the world to help organizations create a common commitment to quality. Delphi plants successfully passed the ISO/TS 16949 audit in 2005. The same year they also obtained ISO 14001 certification, an international standard developed to encourage and support the implementation of environmental management systems.

Products manufactured by Delphi plants in Sannicolau Mare and Ineu for customers throughout Europe include:

• Wiring harnesses for automotive body, interior, and doors
• Small harnesses

Delphi will start to produce common rail diesel pumps and injectors in Iasi in 2008.

Delphi Romania is the proud to be recognized by suppliers for the following:

• Fiat—Best Supplier for Grande Punto Fiat Launch for the Ineu Plant in 2006
• GM—Recognition for the successful launch of S4400 in 2006

Delphi plants in Sannicolau Mare and Ineu are currently recruiting strongly mainly in the technical fields by seeking advanced quality and design engineers. The company is also looking for higher level, experienced and skilled management personnel.

The new Delphi plant in Iasi is looking for the highest level candidates with mechanical machining technical knowledge, specifically:

Community

Delphi plants in Romania are involved in cultural and social development activities in their local community, aiming to be good citizens in the regions. Employees and leadership show commitment to the local community by joining social events and activities that benefit the less fortunate and by also supporting local organizations, foundations and charity programs through donations by Delphi plants in both sites.

Each year, during the summer, Delphi provides students from universities in the regions a possibility to gain valuable job experience at the sites. The goal of these internships is to develop future potential skilled employees for the company. Delphi is also supporting scholarships for current employees with high potential, for further growth and development.
